Design Team

The following desription is for a design team being established in our Bangkok office. The team will be made up of six members; a team leader, two senior programmers, two associate programmers, and a technical assistant. The senior members of the team will be responsible for expository tasks, assisting in the developoment of the architectural design, and oversight of the development processes. The associate programmers will have design responsibilities, primarily during the iterative development phase of the project. In general, however, they will be focused on implementation issues and tasks.

Team Lead

The primary responsibilities of the team leader are technical leadership and ensuring that the development process stays on track. The team lead is responsible for creation of technology roadmaps, making assertions about technology directions, and validating the application's architecture against requirements and assumptions.

Senior
Programmers

Senior Java Programmers are expected to have experience with project life cycles and how to keep a project on track. In addition to experience with applicaitons development for the Java platform, each of the senior programmers wiil be expected to have an area of expertise - either Swing and the design patterns associated with UI components or network programming and Java Web Services. >> more

Associate
Programmer

Associate Java Programmers are expected to have a working knowledge of the J2SE API, and some degree of understanding of the object oriented paradigm, design patterns, and distributed computing models. The two associates assigned to this project will be expected to have expertise in either Swing and text components or distributed computing and programming in a UNIX environment. >> more

Technical
Assistant

The junior Java programmer in this position will assist the team lead in the creation and maintenance of use cases, documenting the applications analysis and design, research into the Java APIs, and prototyping. The technical assistant will also act as the project librarian and have primary responsibility for organizing and maintaining project documentation. >> more
